Wilsons worldwide fame was elevated by 2014 when she took on the role of Alison Lockhart. A troubled young lady named Alison Lockhart has a dark history and falls in affection with Noah Solloway. Wilson was awarded the Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. The show also starred Maura Terney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson said in British Vogue, "I loved getting to portray the character that has both sides of the tale." Noah perceives Alison to be this stylish and sexy character. She sees her own self in a completely different light. From the inside Alison isn't confident and is looking to be a part of the background. She added "I believe that America is such a moral nation and they're too judgmental. Everything that happens on the show looks horrifying." Wilson was a part of the show until 2018 to many fans' dismay, though she was vague about the particulars. In an interview in August of 2018 with CBS This Morning, Wilson said she was adamant to end the show, however she did not have the right to talk about what the reason was. Wilson began working in film more recently. Wilson appeared in the thriller horror I Am the Pretty Thing Living in the House in 2016 and also played the mysterious PT Stella as the Sci-Fi romance How to Talk to Girls in Parties. In addition to her list of horror films Wilson is also set to appear in the British movie adaptation to The Little Stranger. The supernatural thriller is based on the Sarah Waters' novel. Wilson will be executive producing The film.
